DESCRIPTION

Digital and Scientific Literacy Upskilling for Adults is a KA210 small scale partnerships in adult education intends to promote the exchange of good practices of digital and science education for adults to foster a better understanding of scientific concepts helping to identify reliable sources in new media. DECRYPT intends to bridge the expertise and best practices of Consortium countries and organizations to foster the involvement of adults in STEM and digital media, with the final aim to improve their active participation and citizenship thanks to a better understanding of the scientific concept and increased mastery in new media.

The target group is identified in adults, aged 35+, with basic, none or obsolete scientific literacy and who need to overcome the gap with the so called Millennials and Generation Z in terms of digital skills. Our target group consists also of educators in STEM education and digital literacy, targeting adults willing to acquire new perspectives and exchange successful practices.

The training format is a comprehensive resource developed from the project’s research results, encapsulating best practices and findings from adult and organizational focus groups in adult education. It will be multilingual, available as an Open Educational Resource (OER) on partner and project websites, enhancing visibility and accessibility. The content is designed specifically for adults and educators, aiming to improve digital and scientific literacy. It starts with basic skills but scales to advanced levels, promoting these literacies as key for informed and active citizenship.
